Taseer wants Mani for PCB top job
Salman Taseer, the Governor of the Punjab Province believes former ICC President Ehsan Mani is the man to head the PCB.

Taseer is a close aide of President Asif Zardari, who in his
capacity as chief patron of the PCB will appoint the Chairman to
replace Nasim Ashraf.Taseer, who has been in the Board as treasurer in the past, said he was committed to his work as Governor."If
I am asked about this I will decline the offer but I will most
certainly recommend the name of Ehsan Mani who I think is best suited
and experienced cricket administrator to head the board," Taseer said.Mani, a Pakistani settled in the United Kingdom, was ICC President between 2003 and 2006.Mani recently had said that if asked to help out Pakistan cricket he would most certainly make himself available.Sources
say Mani is the best man for the job as he is a very influential person
and is on the board of directors of some companies.Mani had also
advised the Pakistan board to surrender the hosting rights of the
Champions Trophy and even asked them to adopt a hard stand against
Cricket Australia for not touring Pakistan since 1998.Former
Pakistan captains Rameez Raja and Intikhab Alam and former Test batsman
Qasim Umar however believe former captain Imran Khan should come
forward and lead the cricket board.
