Sevilla midfielder Enzo Maresca has put pen to paper on a new two-year deal at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Maresca's
contract was set to run out next summer but the Italian has now signed
on with the Primera Liga club until 2011. His buy-out clause of US$35.8
million remains the same.Maresca spent much of last season on
the bench but has come to the fore once again with the sale of Seydou
Keita and Christian Poulsen. The 25-year-old impressed during
pre-season and has already got off the mark in the new Primera Liga
season - scoring in Sevilla's 4-3 victory over Sporting Gijon.Maresca turned professional at West Bromwich Albion in 1998, having spent time at the youth academies at AC Milan and Cagliari. He
returned to Italy with Juventus two years later but never really
settled at the Bianconeri, spending spells on loan at Bologna, Piacenza
and Fiorentina before moving to Sevilla in 2005.
