Mig33 Admins Again Under Attack

Hello dear users
i want to share something with you all,monday at 4 am (pakistani time)admin ask-vinay id was hacked,but after a long conversation with the hacker,he agreed to gave vinay his id back.the hacker was from indonesia,but vinay already retrived his id password through "FORGOT PASSWORD".If we see in the past,admin vampzz id was also hacked,but after that staff told us that hacking is nowdays impossible.i know vinay id password was too storong,but how they break that password???what was the actual reason??still finding the way to get info about it

i dont think hacking is impossible..
with anything in the world there's always a counter or response..
if mig updates their sysytem to make passwords "un-hackable" some smart a*s will always create something that would break through the system...
just how the world works

recently some new hacking tools released. its working good for the hackers. the main fact is mig33 letting all users trying to log in with wrong password one after another. thats what they're doing by the software. in fast network the software can check about 10 password per second.
i think mig33 should not let users log in after a certain time tried with wrong password.

ok happy.. good point but then if mig keeps you off (meaning not allowing you more attempts at your pass) will it help ? hackers will just wait 10 mins or whatevr the penalty time is then try again.. it might only slow down the hacking process.. not stop it right ?? and that too.. slow it down by what amount ?

In current condition, in 10 minutess, a hacker can check 6000 passwords.(10 per a second)
it means in 24 hours 864,000 attempts.
But as happy's suggestion it decreases to 1 attempt in ten minutess and 144 attempts in 24 hours.
I think happys suggestion is 99% effective. I hope now stimulus can understand it because in that decreased speed Hackers will not try it.

hmm thanks max i understand now.. and thats just 10 mins.. so longer penalty time then lesser attempts .. putting hackers off.. ( i hope)
i think it should be implemented then.. but it will need to be upgraded all the time according to how fast the opposing team comes up with something just as powerfull...
but for an admin id.. will hackers stop at that ??

its really unfortunate that migg has got such security that anyone having a lil knowledge about programming can hack anyones password.i think hackers and multi kickers have always been a step ahead from mig staff n now mig staff should take steps to mend such loopholes as early as possible before its too late.Earlier it was vampzz n now vinay. god knows who will be the next..cant even say be careful cuz that will b useless.. just pray that mig staff finds a solution soon

Guys hacking is not that difficult at all. If the user has the rite software and a fast internet speed he can hack you in the time of 10 seconds. By making it strong or difficult just increases the time for the programe to actually get the password. Its happening, i just dont like it though when the users start to claim that the hacking is not true and that the admin went mad and started kicking innocent users

if i try to login 3 time with wrong password. don't let me login again, just resend the password to my mobile number. thats enough to stop this type of hackers.

Lol, interesting, vinay always advises others that if u make your pasword alphanumeric and keep length of your pasword more than 10 characters then no1 can hack your pasword. But, here he is the victim....

Erm to be exact, the staff is right.
Hacking is almost impossible by brute force or something in mig33 now.

however, the hacker got vinay's password by logging him.

Hope you know what I mean.

he is the best admin and the best guy around..
hope he wouldnt get hacked again...
Vinay the Polite must be scratching his head now.... thinking "what next u damn hackers"

i got a problem in this idea bro and thinking its not a very good idea. it can help users but can be disgusting too.
if any abusers start login with my id continuous then i can't login as long he do not stop.

well i thnk it will be hard on happys suggestions coz of thez problemz

1. Some people do not have the simcards that they used to
register the id....e.g.. me
2. Disallowing to login may be unfair to the orignal user....to this
case delaying login may be partialy ok..

the proposal for continuos login disallowment may be the best otion unless if other people come with set backs

My password was too strong. But the hacker got access to my PC as It was infected from trojans. He got my password with help of a keylogger.
@suri, even 200 digit password isn't safe if hackers use keylogger.
