Admins recommend their friends not an unknown innocent user. Why would you recommend someone whom u just see chatting on a room and u don't even know nothing about, all you see is his/her behaviour in a chatroom(which ofcoz myt be false). Recommendation plays quite a significant role,but its not necessary that one who get recommended will be an admin!!
there are steps as in interviews,which once cleared will get you an admin post

BELOW is my way to an admins post

I'm one of the admin who got selected without any recommendation,let me make it clear
i applied in april-may 2007,and i received an email from mig asking some details and appreciating my interest in admin post!
So i forwarded the necessary details to the mig team

guess what,two days l8r i received an email from team saying that i didn't replied within the said time limit,so my application has been rejected :(

then i took help of our one of the oldest admin tareq.263 from bangladesh,i contacted him and explained him the whole situation
after hearing to me,he said that i should be talking this with the mig staff
and fortunately,jean (one of the mig33 staff) was online at that time,so i chatted wit her.. explained her the whole situation.. she said that i shall forward her all the necessary evidences proving that i did reply to the mig teams mail within the said time limit

I forwarded,and she replied back to me saying that i'm still in the admin probables..immediately after this incidence,i got in touch with pc-gan,she was newly appointed at that time

i just checked in with her about my application,and she gave a green signal

In days to come, i heard few people getting interviewed,gunnjack was my good friend at that point of time.. who also received the same email which i got from mig team

around ten candidates got interviewed,i was waiting to get interviewed but i wasn't

finally i was quite disappointed when they didn't interview me,so i decided to talk with pc-gan on this issue

she said..that they didn't had any requirement from indi,so i wasn't considered

but as and when the need arises,i would be considered
so this is how it all started,of course in the next selection i got selected,and i did get recommendations from other admins

but the thing to observe her is that a user who doesn't have any recommendations can also be an admin like me
(though i had them l8r)

something about the selection procedure

everyone of us are aware that interview is the final stage of selection,be it anywhere

If you apply for a job,interview takes place there too

And the recommendation thing plays an important role there too

now a days only recommendation is enough for you to get a job,which is not the case with the mig's selection of admin atleast..
Here the admin candidates are throughly observed and only then.. He/she becomes an admin

i personally know users who were recommended by admins,but still they didn't became

THIS is how we've been living,so stop scrutinizing the mig's admin selection method.....its not new,its something which is being followed everywhere,wherever you go

THOUGH I personally think,that it shouldn't be like this.. but as of now mig can't play a blind game by considering all the admin candidates who've applied and interviewing them.. guess the selection will never end then lol.. and the chat rooms then'll be full of admins lol
so they trust admins to certain extent,which is a good idea as of now

lets hope in the near future,mig'll be able to bring a much balanced and justifiable admin selection procedure

Lolies gacollomps, gunnjack, vodo0, tareq263, avinash4u, precious_pious and many more. One thing that yall are getting wrong. When an admin recommends a user it dsn mean they will get selected. Before you even have an interview mig makes an extensive check up on you before they concider you as a candidate. And if you dnt pass the requirment nd dnt have a clean history then you dnt get interviewed. i call forums the voice of mig33 users. Why wouldnt mig team want to hear the voices of mig33? If you give good ideas on mig33 and hw we can improve it and your posts are good. Y wouldn mig team concider you? True hard work gets rewarded my mom always says.

If i had seen his behaviour in rooms im familiar with even though no1 knws im watching. I would ask team to HAVE A LOOK IN HIM.

iv'e never chatted to foxy in private nor did she private me before recommendation i din't even ask her if she wants to be admin.. i knew mig team will do that... it's their "JOB"
and that's the truth!!!
from the 6 S.A users i recommended only foxy got selected.. and that was cause of chat history..
agreed there are loop holes in the selection system and it is not fair..
but it's not entirely corrupt..

checking is done after the mig team finally decides the candidates to be interviewed

Taking you back in the past,there have been few mig admins getting demoted on the basis of chat history (cheating,abusive behaviour,reason can be any)

Their chat logs are checked,if mig wants to keep an eye on few users..Its not a difficult task.. automatically that user is being monitored

Your question is kinda silly,a person can keep a track on other no matter wherever he/she is in the world

Mig has a server.. and tracking a user aint difficult for that server at all!

hmm thx for explainin mango i know that for mig33 monnitoring a user is not a big deal but my question was regarding admins recomendation not mig33 team's abilities if you read cristin's reply and my question again u will understand what my question was acutally .. ! btw thx alot bro:D

an admin first of all recommends users from his/her own country

secondly if they do recommend users from other countries, then they'll definitely observe him/her (by checking wit other users etc,there are many ways)

let us cast a vote or so on all the adminis who r in this forum to see how many are recomended or not.adminis be fair and post who recomended you....if possible

this way will know wat percentage of adminis are selected bye recomendation

well romz i don't know what you trying to get at..
admins dont normally post unless it's an attack on them.. if you're asking then here's my lil story:

i too did'nt make my first interview cause of being late..by the time i was clued up, the round of admins were already selected.. at that time i met with putra_1974..(mig staff at that time) who told me that S.A would be selected in the next round..and i should wait..
next round they did contact me.. pc_gan mailed me and an interview was set up..
but by that round i got recomendations from former admin riz_sydney..
and gunnjack..
that's my story... and even though most admins get selected solely cause of recommendations...
it's the work they put in that should count.. and how well they are helping the users..
atleast that's my view..

i guess i know you pretty well mango..we both used to work on mig fans almost a year n half before n ur work was really appreciable.
well bro everybody is not lucky like u.. Guess u were fortunate enough(u can call it ur luck) that u met jean online n u explained the situation and then tp pc-gan mam who listen to you.I should rather say you were very lucky to get appointed back even after your
application was rejected.but everyone is not lucky like you.Only those persons are interviewd who are recomended by admins.getting selected in the interview is a secondary question..but stil reaching upto that interview mark a means a lot.

@cristin admins never keep an eye on users.They r so busy that they hardly stay in a room for 10-20 mins n i dont think u can judge any person in that little time. so eventually its the admins close ones who are recomended.
