fake mig33 email

I have got a bad news for all mig33 user.
there is a software in internet which can send fake mig33 email from one user to another.
I like to request our forum members to not share any important information via email until mig33 banned the software. Thanks

when the december batch of admins were announced hackers emailed the admins pretending to be mig staff and requested passwords.. but i think this issue is eliminated now.. bounce
not sure... Blushed

its a software.
If anybody send email to mig33 requesting to banned your id and he use admin id from the software. Can you guess what will happen?
Many serious things can be done by an abuser. Hope you can guess..

I think all admins will should have a secret mail address with share mig33...

if admin want bann IDs he should use that him secret mail address to mig. . .

I have recieved users pvt'ing me regarding them recieving emails that they have been selected as moderators. This must be what alot of users are recieving. I think awarness should be raised by mig

Its a real problem now...someone had sent fake email containing bad words to 1 of our mig33 staffs using my mig33 mail :-(

we should more careful about using of mig33 mail...

This type e-mails can be sent not only by using softwares but also there are very simple php function (mail() function)....I can remember
i tested that function long time back. I saw a wap site also. It has the facility to send this type of e-mail but they used ASP. There is a form where we have to enter Sender e-mail Address, Destination e-mail Address, Subject and body. I'm not mentioning that
wap Address here.



Some other methods should be used to distibguish the fake emails.
