Bro No need of double formatting... Formatting under FAT32 is wrong way.. We shuold format our MMC under FAT file system.

One more thing for the Best performance of our MMC we shouldn't perform a QUICK FORMAT...
See this image:

Note: As far as I know all phones support FAT file system.

Hi bro use 3-button thepry(Hard Formatting), It works on n-73 only thing its not show u formmating screen bcoz it contain a powerful ram which dirctly do the format step and when it asks u location after start-up it means u have succesfully done the format !!!

Hard Formatting:
*Switch-off your phone
*Press and hold 3 keys; Green dial key, * Star key, no. 3 key on keypad and then press the power on/off to switch on your phone.

hi bro, use this tool to backup your sms msgs.

Noki Explorer

Noki - Explore and extract SMS, phone book, Calendar, Memo, Bookmark and other user files from the backup file of Nokia phone (using Nokia PC Suite). Looking for a better way to manage your backup file from Nokia PC Suite? Trying to view the content of the .nbu, .nfb or .nfc file? Having many SMS and phone book entries in the phone but don't know how to archiving them? Noki gives you fully control of the backuped content. It's simple and easy to explore and extract phone book, SMS, calendar, memo, bookmarks, photos, wallpapers, music and other files in the backup file just like it's done in Windows file and directory. You can choose to convert phone book, sms, calendar or memo to text format, remain the orginal format or merge into one text, excel .xls or html file. You can preview photos and pictures in thumbnails or view the interested item in tool tip.
